Why would I sign my code?

Running an unsigned program can be dangerous, which is why end users  are recommended not to run or download an unsigned file by their  operating system or browser.  With unsighned code, security warnings and error messages will pop up (showing "Unknown Publisher" as the Author of the code) and may jeopardise the relationship of trust built between you and your customers.

Unsigned code can also be modified, after publication without your permission - malware or viruses added for instance.
